OSET was founded by Bruce Alsup in 1997 as a consulting firm providing individuals and small businesses with end-user training and PC support.
In 1998, the focus shifted, to provide rehabilitation engineering and training for the Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services. Since then, the company has expanded its services to a number of government agencies and corporate clients.
In 2000, OSET also began offering product sales, carefully selecting the best products from a variety of manufacturers, both in the assistive technology sector and computing technology sector.

In 2004, the Small Business Services division spun off as a separate corporation under the leadership of Michael Alsup.
Today, OSET continues to provide services for people who are blind or visually impaired along with other persons with physical or learning disabilities. While we have training centers in Albany, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, we use the latest technology to provide training remotely through the World Wide Web.
Geographically, OSET serves the southeast United States. We have served clients in: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri and Arizona.
